Welcome to the blog for the Camden County Public Library in Camden County, NC.

We, the library staff, are SO EXCITED to be a part of this new experience in Camden.

We have a lot of plans and a lot of ideas for things to get the community excited too, but we would also like your ideas and input! Feel free to leave a comment on this blog for us.

We are currently in our first week at the library in Camden. It has been in planning for months and our head librarian, Linda has been hard at work getting the 5500 books catalogged and ready to be shelved. Now the building is ready, the books have arrived, the furniture has arrived and we can finally start setting up the library.

Over the next two weeks we will be hard at work setting up the library, planning, and getting everything together for our soft opening on July 1st. Our grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony will be August 5th. More information about that later.

We will keep you all up to date with our progress through this blog and our Facebook page. There will be pictures, perhaps video and of course lots of information about the attractions the library will present to the residents in Camden County.

As our library grows, we will continue to update our blog, talking about exciting events, classes or programs we will be offering as well as pictures and more from those events afterwards.
